Many people fail to think about this one but it can often be a tremendous factor in the workout process and how long it actually takes you to get a workout scheduled into your already over packed life. Parking. We all know how annoying it can be to drive around in circles looking for a parking place. Look for a gym that provides sufficient parking so you won’t have to waste time looking for a slot.

You can also make sure you have plenty of time in your schedule for a workout at the gum by aligning your workout with other items in your schedule. For example, if you have to be out to do one thing, why not top it off or follow it up with a trip to the gym? You will not only save gas but time as well. Likewise, you might think of fitting your workout in during your lunch hour so you do not feel as though you are giving up valuable time from somewhere else in your schedule. Avoid the temptation to bring your cell phone in with you while you’re working out. Of course, if your profession absolutely requires you to be in contact with the office or if there could be a potential family emergency, this may be unavoidable but be aware that brining your cell phone in with you only increases the temptation to yak away on it instead of focusing on your workout routine.
Along the same lines, it can also be advantageous to avoid talking too much to the other members at the gym. This increases the workout time for everyone involved and could also be a safety factor as well. If you’re talking it can be difficult to achieve the results you want and could cause you to forget to take important safety precautions.

Ultimately, the best way to make sure you have time for a workout is to analyze the way you currently spend your time working out. You may find out, quite to your own surprise, that there are hidden factors which could be robbing you of time that should be spent actually working out.
